Company History

Our company history began in February 1988, when we started producing wall clock cases for Swarzwald clock factories in a small ceramic workshop. During this period, we learned to manufacture products meeting strict technical specifications and aesthetic requirements. The then sole-proprietorship (run by the current Managing Director) became a family business in 1990 with the founding of Thermokerámia Kft. Since then, we have maintained family ownership, with several family members — including the now-grown children — working in the company as engineers and technicians.

In the early 1990s, in response to the demand for highly precise, high-refractoriness products, we introduced low-pressure injection moulding (LPIM) as a new forming technology. Continuous learning and technological development enabled us, within a few years, to manufacture highly complex-shaped, dimensionally precise products for numerous industrial sectors. Around this time, our company motto was born: “Ceramic parts and elements — as you wish” — which today reads:

“Ceramic parts and components — designed and made to your specifications”

This motto continues to define our company operations: the manufacture of products tailored to customer requirements, and joint development processes with our customers.

From the very beginning, our company has grown continuously in both size and workforce. Today we operate in halls exceeding 3,000 m² with a team of 30 employees. Technology and materials development remains ongoing. The centuries-old ceramic manufacturing traditions of our town, combined with our industry experience and expertise, have also enabled us to adopt additional forming technologies. We now offer conventional casting, high-pressure casting, extrusion, and plastic pressing, allowing us to provide the most appropriate solution for any customer requirement.

Our vision is to operate an environmentally conscious business that treats its customers as partners, and whose mission is to solve the technical challenges that arise — together with our partners, through a collaborative development process.
